Marianne Nielsen
Marianne works in the production team. She joined FLONIDAN in 2009 and handles the calibration of smart gas meters.
”Joining the production team in FLONIDAN was very different from any previous job I have had. The work environment here is very positive, with an informal and open communication, based on mutual trust and responsibility. I have always been the shy type, but that all changed, when I came here.”
Marianne was trained as meter operator in the gas flow meter laboratory; a job she also holds today. Besides that, Marianne assists the gas meter assembly line.
"There is a high degree of employee involvement in the production department. We have short lines of communication; take initiate and have direct contact to the colleagues in other departments. I thrive in this atmosphere. We are always busy, time flies and I am always happy biking to and from work".
Apart from the 10 km bike ride, Marianne runs, does gymnastics and enjoy football.
"We have various fitness activities in the company, but I mostly exercise football from the spectator seat. As a FLONIDAN employee me and my family enjoy free entrance to local football matches".
Jens Flensborg
Jens holds a M.Sc. in Electronic Engineering and joined FLONIDAN in 2015. Prior to FLONIDAN Jens worked as a R&D Director in an American company.
"It appealed to me, that the company is Danish ownership. I share the values and attitudes of the owners; the leadership culture is very likeable and the corporate plans are long-term and visionary".
After several years in telecommunications entering the energy industry also provides an interesting change for Jens.
"Denmark is frontrunner in energy, and although the energy industry, like every other industry, is undergoing digital transformation, there is still a high demand for long-life products. It sets different requirements to the products we design and develop; especially smart gas meters, which are battery powered".
With years of work experience in R&D Jens is focusing on strengthening the software development at FLONIDAN.
“FLONIDAN is a medium-sized company, but with every third employee in R&D we are able to change and navigate really quick. We are agile and good at challenging each other in a constructive way. As a result, we develop good, well thought-out solutions, geared for commercial success and true usability".
Boosting the team performance and showing results is what motivates Jens the most
